Help the Needy Charitable Trust is a non-profit humanitarian and development organisation registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales since 1996.
For nearly three decades, we have been committed to providing life-saving and life-changing support to vulnerable communities, regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion. We believe that every person has the right to food, shelter, education, clean water, and healthcare.
Our work is driven by the vision of a more just and compassionate world, where communities are empowered to become self-sufficient and resilient in the face of poverty, displacement, and crisis.
Water is Life
For millions of people in Iraq clean water is still out of reach. The situation is especially dire for the country’s most vulnerable: internally displaced families who have been living for years in temporary camps and informal settlements. This appeal is about more than water. It’s about health, education, opportunity, and dignity. Every donation brings us one step closer to building sustainable clean water solutions that transform lives. Join us. Let’s turn compassion into action, and bring clean water to families who need it most.
Through our Water Treatment Plant Programme, we deliver safe drinking water to communities in critical need, especially those in displacement camps, shantytowns, disaster-hit zones, and high-risk areas. These projects provide clean, treated water for cooking, drinking, and personal hygiene, reducing the spread of waterborne diseases and improving daily life for thousands.
With your support, we can continue to bring this essential resource to families who need it most.
Center in Amiriya al-Fallujah, Anbar
In response to the urgent healthcare needs of communities in Anbar, Help the Needy Charitable Trust is establishing a Primary Public Health Care (PPHC) centre in Amiriya al-Fallujah. This area, heavily affected by conflict and displacement, faces critical gaps in access to basic health services.
The new PPHC will serve as a vital lifeline for thousands of residents, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable families living in poverty. With limited medical infrastructure in the region, this centre will provide essential services such as general medical consultations, maternal and child healthcare, vaccination programs, treatment of common illnesses, and health education.
Our goal is to create a sustainable, community-centered facility that not only addresses immediate medical needs but also contributes to long-term public health resilience in Anbar.
By supporting this project, you will help bring accessible, life-saving healthcare to those who need it most, restoring dignity, improving quality of life, and building a healthier future for all.
At Help the Needy, our Theory of Change outlines a long-term, sustainable framework to break the cycle of poverty and empower families to thrive. We believe that by addressing both immediate needs and underlying causes of poverty, we can create meaningful, lasting change.
In Iraq countless orphans and widows face life with unimaginable hardship, alone, unsupported, and vulnerable. Children who’ve lost their parents are left without guidance or security. Mothers, now widows, struggle to provide even the most basic needs for their families. Help us restore hope by providing food, shelter, education, emotional care, and the tools these families need to rebuild their lives. A small monthly contribution can mean a warm meal, a safe home, and a chance at a brighter future.
Sponsor today, and be the reason a family finds strength, dignity, and new beginnings.
